It all began on a windy and sunny day as the pirates
were doing their usual business and raided a small
coastal town. The villagers try to save their treasures
and of course their lives

Tis Unnecessary to say it was a successful foray.
The captain opened a barrel of rum and the pirates
started a wild binge. As they lied drunk and smuged
on the ships deck they heard lovely voices they
never heard before. They set course to the island
like they were magnetically attracted to it.

...but there was one elder who had heard from a phenomenon like this. He tried to warn the captain. Of course without success because real pirates fear nothing or at least they were convinced that nothing could ever harm them.

the pirates entered the coast still enchanted by the lovely voices. They staggered like drunkards to the incomparable havoc of the harpyies which beckoned them from far away. The only pirate who resisted the Harpyies was the elder one. He wanted to save the crew. But what could he do? He remembered the only thing that the harpyies ever feared: it was the water of the seas. So he filled the empty barrels with sea water, covered his eyes and plugged his ears and brought the barrel to the island. He filled the glasses and gave a toast and the harpyies drank and burst into flames.The deadly spell was broken and the pirates were free.
